Anthony Joshua ditched talks to fight Dereck Chisora after ‘Del Boy’ demanded a 50-50 split of all revenues.

London 2012 gold medallist Joshua earned around £5million for the victory over Dillian Whyte in December that saw him win the British heavyweight title to go with his Commonwealth belt, thanks to his cut of the live gate at London’s O2 Arena and Sky Sports’ pay-per-view sales.

Chisora wanted a slice of the action.

We understand 26-year-old Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn offered former British, Commonwealth and European champ Chisora around £750,000, but that was snubbed.

Instead, Chisora, 32, will now fight former world heavyweight title challenger Kubrat Pulev for the vacant European heavyweight title - and a purse of around £100,000 - on April 9.

Del Boy’s promoter Kalle Sauerland said last week: “Dereck wasn’t happy with the terms and said he wasn’t going to do it.

"Anthony gave up the position and Pulev moved in.”
