Messi however outbid Ronaldo according to the report to get his hands on the car that was put in the market by car selling firm Proto Organisation owned by Italian billionaire Alessandro Proto.

A press release from the Italian company sparked the reports that it was Messi who bought the car.

According to AS, Ronaldo even test rove the car but it was Messi whose bid was accepted by Proto Organsiation.

The historic Ferrari was driven in the 1958 Cuban Grand Prix by legendary F1 driver Stirling Moss.
