Thomas Müller was in celebratory mood after his brace secured FC Bayern München three points against SV Darmstadt 98.
Anyone wondering just what makes Thomas Müller unique need merely watch his goal in the 71st minute of FC Bayern München's 3-1 win against SV Darmstadt 98.
In a near-impossible position, the German international managed to
find a gap, control the ball on his chest and engineer space; all before
producing an audacious overhead kick which left Lilies' keeper Christian Mathenia - and the watching world - in a state of awe.

It was a 17th goal of the season for the 26-year-old, who, along with Robert Lewandowski,
is scoring goals for fun at present. Following the final whistle,
Müller discussed the acrobatic effort from his perspective as well as
the welcome return of Franck Ribery.
'I couldn't have done it any other way'
Question: Thomas Müller, was your second goal an overhead kick or a goal of a completely new style?
Thomas Müller:
It was a goal scored from a position of having my back to the
opposition goalkeeper, perhaps slightly sideways. I couldn't have done
it any other way which is why it looks so acrobatic.
Question: What grade would you give yourself for that goal?
Müller:
At the end of the day it wasn't a well-executed move. The fact that we
managed to produce a goal out of that situation was really good.
However, I'm not about rating my goals. It's just nice to score a nice
goal for once
[laughs].
