Tessa Wullaert's equalizer in the 90th minute halted Bayern Munich's
winning streak as she handed a 1-1 draw to VfL Wolfsburg, which
although it is not a loss, is still not the result wanted by the title
challengers, with the Bavarian club still enjoying a 12-point lead.
The match was fairly balanced,
with Thomas Wörle opting for a containing system and counter-attacking
when having their dangerous moments. On the other hand, Wolfsburg tried
to apply pressure from the early stages and boosted with the support of
their fans, they had the best of starts with various shots from outside
the box. Norwegian midfielder Caroline Graham Hansen almost broke the
deadlock, but her direct free kick hit the post, with no one from her
team mates following up the rebound. However, following this occasion,
Bayern seemed to have taken under control the match, dictating its tempo
and also preventing their opponents from penetrating their defensive
line.

The leaders almost forged ahead
in the early minutes of the second 45 minutes, when Sara Däbritz's shot
went inches wide. Bayern kept on bossing the game and also had a
penalty shout when, in the 50th minute, captain Nilla Fischer seemed to
have handed the ball in penalty box, but the referee waved away Bayern's
protests. A few minutes later, Melanie Behringer broke the deadlock with a low drive shot from outside the box. Wolfsburg's
reaction was immediate, but they could not beat Riika Korpela until
Wullaert's dramatic equalizer which avoided defeat for the home side.
