Broad shoulders: Bowler will look to wrap up series win
England will ask Stuart Broad to get their one-day series back on track on Friday just days after telling him he's not wanted in their World T20 plans, writes Dean Wilson in Johannesburg.Broad will provide the wicket-taking cutting edge that was missing from their youthful but ineffective bowling attack in Tuesday's loss.
However, he has been deemed surplus to requirements in the shortest format.
At the World T20 in India, England are hoping Steven Finn will be the strike bowler they desperately need assuming he recovers from his side strain, while the uncapped left arm spinner Liam Dawson is the only surprise in the 15 man squad.

"We decided to go ahead with the young group of players we've got going forward," said coach Trevor Bayliss.
"Stuart hasn't played any T20 cricket for a while and we've been very happy with the way we've played T20 cricket over the past six to eight months.
"Obviously we want Stuart to be playing Test cricket and I think he will play more one-day cricket for England as well.
Conscious decision: Bayliss wants to give youth a chance
"We made a conscious decision to give him a break from that so he could concentrate on Test cricket but at the same time it allows us to give some of these young bowlers the chance to show what they can do.
"It was always on the cards for him to play some cricket on this tour once he got selected.
"It will be good to have that experience, especially at the Wanderers where he had that success in the Test."
