Hampshire all-rounder Liam Dawson has been included in England's World T20 squad after impressing with the England Lions. The 25-year-old has been regularly taking wickets against Pakistan A in Dubai and could get his chance when the Three Lions head to India next month.
But there's no place for Chris Woakes, who makes way for Dawson, or Kevin Pietersen who has been exiled for the last couple of years.
Coach Trevor Bayliss told reporters of Dawson: "I went to one or two of their practices and saw him in the nets. From a bowling point of view, he gets a bit on the ball, and he looks as though he's got something about him personality-wise.
"He can bat as well, and he's a good fielder apparently."
And he added that there was never a chance of Pietersen returning.
"He wasn't even discussed in the selection meeting," he said.

"Everyone is very happy with the young team we've got ... we've played very well in Twenty20 cricket over the last six months.
"We just want to move forward with that young team."
National selector, James Whitaker, said: “The limited-overs cricket played in the last eight months has been incredibly exciting to watch and these players deserve the honour of representing England at a global event.
