Grindel, Löw and DFB delegation pay a visit to chancellor Merkel

A delegation of the German Football Association (DFB), which included president Reinhard Grindel, vice-presidents Dr. Rainer Koch and Dr. Reinhard Rauball, DFB general secretary Dr. Friedrich Curtius as well as the entire management team, paid a visit to the German chancellor in Berlin on Wednesday. As part of the meeting, the delegation presented Dr. Angela Merkel and interior minister Dr. Thomas de Maizière with signed Germany kits.

During what was a lively exchange of ideas, head coach Joachim Löw, team coach Oliver Bierhoff, goalkeeper coach Andreas Köpke, and both assistant coaches Thomas Schneider and Marcus Sorg explained the World Cup winners' plans for the European Championships, which are due to take place from the 10th June to 10th July in France.

After the conclusion of the meeting, the delegation made their way to Berlin’s iconic Olympiastadion to watch Borussia Dortmund’s 3-0 triumph over Hertha BSC in the DFB Cup semi-final.
