One of the top defenders around, the German World Cup winner is widely known to be mulling over his future at the Signal Iduna Park at the end of the season.
Hummels is entering the final year of his BVB contract, and while the club want to keep the 27-year-old, there is increasing belief that the player wants to move abroad.

Earlier this week, Bild listed Arsenal and Man United as two of the clubs who want to sign Hummels in the summer.
The defender was in action on Wednesday evening as BVB booked their place in the German Cup final by beating Hertha Berlin. After the game Hummels spoke to Sky Germany about his future plans.
He admitted the stress of his next big decision is causing sleep problems:
It’s a very difficult decision, and when I finally make it people will understand how hard it is for me. I’ve set a date, but I’m keeping it to myself.
It’s been taking me at least half an hour extra to fall asleep for several weeks now because this is such a big issue for me.
Bild have also carried quotes today from Hummels’ dad about a possible move.
Without naming Arsenal and United, Hummels senior made the following remark to the tabloid:
Mats is facing a tremendously important decision in his career, in his life. Dortmund is back among the top clubs in Europe, so the decision is so hard for him.
If he should leave Dortmund, then he goes to one of the five or six top clubs. And to these clubs one is of course FC Bayern.
