Firm reports are indicating that Arsenal have made an unofficial agreement to sign Borussia Mönchengladbach star Granit Xhaka.
The 23-year-old, often deployed as a box-to-box or holding midfielder, has been touted as a transfer target for the Gunners who are set to say goodbye to a host of midfielders including Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini and Tomas Rosicky this summer.
According to German news outlets Bild and Sky Deutschland, representatives from Arsenal have met with Xhaka and his agent to come to a verbal agreement over personal terms and a five-year deal for the player.
