Arsenal set to move for Bayern Munich striker

Arsenal are closely monitoring the situation of Robert Lewandowski at Bayern Munich, according to reports in the Mirror.

The Poland international cast a shadow over his future at the club last week after statements credited to him that he would embrace the chance of plying his trade in the Premier League.

The former Borussia Dortmund  attacker still has three years left on his current contract at the Allianz Arena but the London club are ready to make a bid for him this summer should the opportunity arises.

The 27-year-old forward has been in sensational form for Bayern both in the Bundesliga and the Champions League this season, taking them to within touching distances of winning the league title. He has scored 62 goals in 93 appearances for the Bavarian, including eight in 11 Champions League outings this season.

There no doubt that the club needs at least a reliable striker to play convert Mesut Ozil’s clear-cut chances because it is quite laughable a player with the most chance created in a season (137) this season but has a striker who is yet to turn in 20 goals this season.
