Philips Stadium hosts matches of the Dutch team

The KNVB announced on Friday morning that the Philips Stadion will again host an international match involving the Dutch national team. Danny Blind’s men will entertain Greece in a friendly in Eindhoven on 1 September. At first it was decided that the Oranje would play all their home games in the Amsterdam ArenA but the Dutch FA has retracted its decision.

1 September: Netherlands v Greece
The Netherlands will host Greece in an international friendly in Eindhoven on Thursday 1 September, with a 20.45 kick-off, before they start their 2018 World Cup campaign away against Sweden on Tuesday 6 September.

San Marino in 2011
The Philips Stadion last was the venue for an international fixture on 2 September 2011 when the Netherlands demolished San Marino in an 11-0 mauling. The Netherlands will also play 2018 World Cup qualifying games in the Rotterdam Kuip.
