Arsenal face fight to keep Alexis Sanchez as Bayern Munich plot swoop for Chilean star

The Arsenal winger enters the final two years of his contract this summer, leaving the Gunners in a precarious position regarding his future.
Discussions over an extension are underway, Sanchez in line for a new five-year deal worth upwards of £160,000-per-week.

The 27-year-old hasn't quite reached the heights of last season, where he was named in the PFA Team of the Year.

Sanchez starred for his country as they won the Copa America on home turf in the summer but the tournament looked to have taken its toll at the beginning of this term.

A hamstring injury midway through the campaign came as little surprise but whilst his team's form has dipped since his return, his has not.
Six goals in his last seven Premier League games have served as a reminder to Europe's top clubs of just what the former Barcelona man has to offer.
