Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge delivers update on the future of Liverpool target Mario Gotze
Bayern Munich will wait until the end of the season to resolve Mario Gotze’s future, according to the club’s chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
The 23-year-old has endured a frustrating spell for club and country after having spent most of the season sidelined with injury.Gotze picked up the problem during Germany’s 1-0 defeat by Republic of Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin in October.
The former Borussia Dortmund playmaker has only made a handful of appearances for Bayern since his return to full fitness.

Jurgen Klopp, who brought Gotze through at Dortmund, is thought to be keen to bring the World Cup winner to Anfield in the summer transfer window.
And Bayern chief executive office Rummenigge appeared to open the door to Gotze’s potential exit after he admitted that the reigning Bundesliga champions weren’t in any rush to sort out the forward’s future.
“We now focus on the important games and after that, if it is what Mario wants, we’ll talk internally about his future. You’ll need a bit more patience,” Rummenigge is quoted as saying by ESPN Sport.
