Pep Guardiola can leave Bayern Munich with head held high - Uli Hoeness

Pep Guardiola wants high-profile Bayern Munich star at Man City according to Brazilian reportsThe ESPN FC crew discuss Bayern Munich's Champions League situation after their progression and Barcelona's elimination.

Former Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has said he hopes Pep Guardiola can leave the club "through the big gate" by winning the Champions League.
Guardiola, who takes over from Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City in the summer, steered his side into the last four with a 3-2 aggregate win over Benfica.
Friday's semifinal draw means Guardiola could come up against his next club in the final of this season's Champions League if Bayern beat Atletico Madrid in their semifinal and City overcome Real Madrid in theirs.

Hoeness, released from prison in February after being jailed for tax evasion, travelled to Lisbon for the second leg as Bayern qualified for a fifth consecutive Champions League semifinal.
And speaking to Bild, he said he had seen "a team in a really good shape" in recent weeks and hoped for "four, five nice weeks" ahead.
"We need to try to progress," he said. "I was delighted for the team and especially for the coach, because he now has a good chances to leave Munich through the big gate, and he deserves that."
Hoeness had been instrumental in Guardiola's decision to join Bayern, travelling to New York in 2012 for the talks that persuaded him to make the move.
When Guardiola clinched his first Bundesliga title in 2014, he dedicated it to Hoeness, calling him "the most important person at this club."
