Bundesliga: Matchday 30 Review

Matchday 30 of the Bundesliga has concluded, and with four games now remaining in the season there is still a lot to play for.

After picking up their first point last week, bottom-of-the-table Hannover beat Champions League contenders Borussia Monchengladbach, but they will be doomed to a relegation play-off place at best depending on results next week.

The top three teams in the Bundesliga won their respective games 3-0. Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund won against Schalke 04 and Hamburger SV respectively, while Bayer Leverkusen moved into the top three after their game against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Other teams vying for European qualification had bad results. Hertha BSC lost against the revived
Hoffenheim team, Mainz 05 were beaten 3-2 by FC Koln, while Wolfsburg were also beaten 3-2 against Werder Bremen, who are still in the bottom three.
