Plan would have seen 120 people charged $1million to watch fight with no TV station or reporters, according to world heavyweight king
He says the Dubai billionaire wanted to charge 120 high-rollers $1million each to see it on board, with no
media allowed.
“We’ve had negotiations to have the rematch on a ship,” said the world heavyweight king.
“A sheikh in Dubai, who owned a yacht which he could fit 120 people on, said he could sell 120 tickets at $1m each, so that would have been $120m (£82m).
“He wanted to have an exclusive heavyweight championship of the world title fight with no TV station or reporters, just for those 120 people watching.
“He didn’t say how much I would get, but I probably would have had the biggest half of the $120m, so I was all for it! But I think it’s gone now.”
Fury says Wembley, Dublin’s Croke Park, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Germany are being considered for the rematch in May or June.
He would prefer to fight at Wembley after dethroning Klitschko in his German stronghold.

“There are five possible venues,” he said. “I’d like it to be in the UK and least of all Germany. I went into the lion’s den. Now I’m the lion, so he has to come to me if he wants what I’ve got.
“But if it’s going to make more financial sense to go back to Germany, then that’s where we’ll go.”
