KickOff.com can reveal that Golden Arrows are close to securing the services of former Platinum Stars midfielder Letladi Madubanya.
The 32-year-old announced his departure from Dikwena via a
Facebook post last month, after joining the club from Bidvest Wits in
2014.
“To all my friend and our supporters, I would like to tell you before
you read about it… myself and Platinum Stars have parted ways,” read
the post on Madubanya’s Facebook page.
“I would like to thank everyone at the club for their support, thanks
to our fans wish u all the best in the coming seasons. From the bottom
of my heart … THANK YOU.”
However, Abafana Bes’thende have since approached the three-time Absa
Premiership winner with SuperSport United for his services ahead of the
new season. Sources close to the club are confident he will reunite
with former coach Clinton Larsen at the KwaZulu-Natal side.
“Arrows are interested in bringing Madubanya on board next season,
because he has previously worked with Larsen,” says the source.
“I’m sure the deal will materialise soon as the player is currently a free agent.”
