Dani Alves has always been a slightly "different" footballer.
While the lives of many top players consists of kicking balls, playing PlayStation and sleeping, the Barcelona legend has always taken a slightly alternative approach to being a football superstar. Want proof? Check out his bizarre taste in footwear or the weird way he pranks his girlfriend.
With that in mind, we should perhaps not be surprised at the Brazilian's explanation for his choice of squad number at Juventus.
The 33-year-old right-back - who was mobbed by fans when he arrived in Italy - has declared that he will be wearing 23 for the Old Lady.
The reason? His love of basketball star LeBron James.

Speaking to Juventus’ official website, Alves said: “LeBron James is someone I admire for the way he constantly reinvents himself and never rests on his laurels, always aiming for new challenges and triumphs.

It seems Alves is inspired by everything LeBron does. Which is ironic, given that he only wears 23 because Michael Jordan once did.
