The Arsenal midfielder is currently shining for Wales at Euro 2016.
Aaron Ramsey celebrates after scoring the first goal for ArsenalSpeaking on talkSPORT, Stuart Pearce has claimed that he sees Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey as the new Bryan Robson or Frank Lampard.
The midfielder has established himself as one of the main men in the Gunners midfield after battling back from a serious leg break.
He is currently starring for Wales at Euro 2016, where he has put in several impressive performances to help them top Group B and reach the knockout stages of the competition.
Wales' Aaron Ramsey in actionPearce is a big fan after working with him in the Olympics in 2012 and says he could see him being a Bryan Robson or Frank Lampard type midfielder in future.
“I worked with him and he struck me as a player that could deliver more than he thought,” he told talkSPORT.
“I always felt he retains the ball brilliantly well, but I think he could add more goals to his game. I could see him being a Bryan Robson type or Frank Lampard.”
England's Frank Lampard in actionIf Ramsey is to develop into as good a player as either Robson or Lampard, his best choice may be to seek an exit from Arsenal.
He has often been used in wide right role by Arsene Wenger, but has made no secret of his desire to play in a central role at the club.
He is unlikely to get that at the Emirates though giving their options in that position and perhaps a move somewhere else would be best for his career.
