Belgium captain Eden Hazard has returned to training ahead of their quarter-final tie with Wales tomorrow night after suffering a thigh injury.
Hazard has been fantastic this month for Belgium, as they made it
through to the knockout stages of Euro 2016 with a second-placed finish
behind Italy in Group E, before tearing Hungary apart.
The Chelsea forward, who scored four goals
in the last five games of the Premier League season, grabbed his first
goal of the tournament in that victory as he took the ball inside from
the left wing and smashed it into the bottom corner, after dancing past
three defenders.
He’s also collected three assists, which
is the joint-most at the Euros, so he’s certainly their danger man
heading into tomorrow night’s clash. With that in mind, the Red Devils
have been boosted by his presence in training today.
There were some small fears that Hazard
wouldn’t make it against the Welsh – who didn’t concede a goal against
the Red Devils in Euro 2016 qualifying – but he’s erased any doubt by
appearing in their final training session ahead of the game today.
