Former West Ham winger joins Margate

Matthias Fanimo has joined Margate

 

FORMER West Ham Academy winger Matthias Fanimo has signed for Margate following his release from National League side Eastleigh.

The 22-year-old started his career with the Hammers and made one first team appearance in a 2-0 victory of Crewe Alexandra in the League Cup.

He also spent time of loan at Tranmere Rovers and Bishops Stortford before signing for the Spitfires. He has also represented the England U16, U17 and U18 age groups.

While at West Ham, rapid Fanimo equalled Antonio Valencia as the fastest footballer in the world, 0.2 seconds quicker than Gareth Bale and 0.5 seconds quicker than Cristiano Ronaldo
