Aston Villa's worst kept secret has been confirmed - but not officially.

Villa fans have known for months that the club's new kit manufacturer would be Under Armour.

And now the claret and blues have started using the American sportswear giant on their branding.

Supporters who have pre-booked for the pre-season friendly against Middlesbrough at Villa Park next month spotted the logo on their tickets.

It has also appeared on posters at Villa's city centre store.

Under Armour, who also provide the kit for Tottenham and the Wales rugby team, are taking over from Italian company Macron as Villa's kit manufacturers. Macron were the suppliers for four years after striking a £15 million deal in 2012.

The new strip will be unveiled at midday on Friday, July 1.

QuickBooks will continue to be Villa's main sponsor having agreed a two year deal last summer.
