» Germany Manuel Neuer: Difficult to break down teams who 'park the bus'
Germany captain Manuel Neuer insists his side will not take any side lightly during the remainder of Euro 2016.
Manuel Neuer has admitted Germany find it difficult to break down teams who "park the bus."
Germany beat Ukraine 2-0 in their opening Euro 2016 game., before being held to a 0-0 draw with Poland and a tight 1-0 victory over Northern Ireland despite dominating the game.
And due to their lack of goals and cutting edge, doubts have arisen as to how far the 2014 World Cup winners can actually go in the competition.
"It is understandable that the fans or media aren't enthused by games like Ukraine or Northern Ireland" Neuer said. "They weren't easy games for us.
"It has been difficult to score goals against teams that park the bus on you."
Germany next take on Slovakia in the round of 16, with the Bayern
Munich goalkeeper expecting a tougher challenge in comparison to the
previous three.
"Slovakia have earned their berth in the round of 16," he added.
"We are looking for a clear win, but we are at the knockout stage and anything can happen in one game.
"We are preparing ourselves for Slovakia -- we are not taking them lightly.
"You always want to keep a clean sheet, but the pressure is a bit
higher in the knockout stages. We want to be tight at the back. It all
starts with the defence."
