Delta honors Keshi with State Funeral, Stadium name

Former Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi will be honored with a State Burial the Commissioner for Sports, Delta State, Tony Okowa has disclosed.

The State government has also decided to have the ‘under-construction’ Asaba Stadium named after the late Coach and former Captain of the Super Eagles.

News of Keshi’s death; earlier this month, was greeted with grief and National mourning with tributes pouring in globally.

He passed on June 7, in Benin City Edo state of a suspected Cardiac Arrest.
