Renault will return to the sport in 2016, with boss Cyril Abiteboul insisting his outfit have no 'no intention of making up the numbers'.
"We have won in F1 as a team and as an engine supplier," he said. "There is no reason why we cannot repeat that."
The team also confirmed they have dropped Pastor Maldonado from their lineup, with former McClaren driver Kevin Magnussen partnering Jolyon Palmer. Esteban Ocon will be the reserve.
Frederic Vasseur will run the team, while Bob Bell, an experienced engineer, will be the chief technical officer.
President Jerome Stoll said he is confident his team have the 'budget, the talent and the people' to win.
