Enough is enough: Mitchell has decided to retire

Kevin Mitchell has announced his retirement after admitting "enough is enough".
Mitchell, 31, was training for a fight against Edis Tatli for the European lightweight title on March 18 when he realised his desire had gone.

The two-time world title challenger, who finishes with a record of 39-4-0, was stopped in his last two fights and is moving into training.

"I was in the gym training for the Edis Tatli fight and I just didn't really feel that I have enough to go through the training once again," said the popular Dagenham fighter.

"I've been fighting for 22 years and it's a long time to be putting your body through all you have to do to get right for a fight and my body has said 'enough is enough'."
