Juventus sensation Paulo Dybala would be Barcelona's preferred
replacement to replace Neymar if the Brazilian leaves the Nou Camp
during the coming transfer window, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The current La Liga champions are likely to keep hold of the Brazil
star, but the Spanish publication insists his future is still in the
balance following approaches from Manchester United, Real Madrid and
Paris Saint-Germain for his services.
Dybala
was the subject of one of the biggest transfer sagas of last summer's
mercato, after Palermo president Mauricio Zamparini launched a public
auction to get the most for his signature. Barcelona themselves, along
with Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea, were all linked with his
services, but Juventus won the race after paying €32m plus €8m in
add-ons to fill the gap left by the departure of Carlos Tevez.
The 22-year-old forward has taken his game to the next level in the
2015-16 campaign, scoring 23 goals in 46 appearances, including 19 in
Serie A to lead Juventus to the title.
Mundo Deportivo
now claims Barcelona have identified Dybala as the top candidate to
replace Neymar should the Brazilian star opt against renewing his deal
at the Nou Camp to move elsewhere.
The Spanish publication
claims that Dybala will not come cheap, but adds that Neymar's departure
would leave €190m in Barcelona's coffers as this is the price set in
his release clause and the club will not negotiate below it.
Barcelona chief Susana Monje said on Tuesday (21 June) that the Brazilian's departure from the Nou Camp is not a topic for discussion this summer.
Even so, Mundo Deportivo insists that Neymar's future is up for debate, after reports
that PSG, Manchester United and Real Madrid have all sent
representatives to Brazil to convince the former Santos star to snub the
Catalans' proposal and join them. Last week Wagner Ribeiro,
one of Neymar's agents, warned that there are three clubs ready to meet
his client's full release clause to lure him away from Barcelona.
One
way or another Barcelona are not expected to increase their offer to
Neymar despite, according to Mundo Deportivo, PSG tempting him with
€50m-a-year salary – almost double the Catalans' proposal. The club are
not able to reach that figure so have asked Neymar to think about his
sporting future rather than the money hecould earn at the Ligue 1 side,
Manchester United or Real Madrid.
