Maxwell lengthens his stay at PSG

Brazilian left-back Maxwell has signed a one-year contract extension that will keep him at Paris St Germain until summer 2017.

The 34-year-old, who joined PSG from Barcelona in 2012, decided to remain with the club for another season after making 28 appearances in their Ligue 1 title-winning campaign.

"It's a great pleasure to extend my contract with Paris Saint-Germain," Maxwell told www.psg.fr.

"I have an excellent relationship with the club and the players. The adventure continues and I'm very happy about it."
