Arsenal press conference LIVE: Arsene Wenger speaks ahead of the Gunners' trip to Bournemouth

Arsenal travel to Bournemouth this weekend having slipped to fourth in the table - see the latest team news here

On Rosicky

“We are all shocked, we hope it is not his last game.
“He will not need surgery.”

On Afobe

“I think the best way to stop our opponent is to be dangerous. We are aware that Benik is quick, sharp, has good movement in the box.
“In every club are top quality strikers.”

Team news...

“We lost Rosicky. Everything else is normal.”
“Welbeck will play for the U21s. He needs to play two or three games before coming back to the first team.

He has been out for 10 months.

“In the next three weeks he should be available.”

Zzzz....

Time keeping is not a strength of Arsene’s.
We’re still waiting...

Not long to go...

Wenger’s due out in 10 minutes... but could be here any time between now and an hour’s time.

Wilshere feeling upbeat

Jack Wilshere is hopeful he’ll be back sooner rather than later in a much-needed boost to the Gunners’ title bid

“[My recovery is] going well,” Wilshere said. “I’m back on the pitch and I’m just trying to build my fitness up because everyone knows how tough it is to play in the Premier League.

“I’m working on it and I’m slowly getting there.

Sometimes it’s been difficult to stay positive, especially after the injuries that I’ve had which have been frustrating, but as the injury goes, you get closer to full fitness and you see the light at the end of the tunnel, then you start to think about coming back and getting involved in the team.”

Morning all...

2016, eh? It’s not been kind to Arsenal.
They were clear at the top of the Premier League at the turn of the year. Their next five league games brought one win, three draws and a loss.

Now Arsene Wenger’s men are sitting fourth behind Leicester, Man City and Tottenham.

But all is not lost. In the 2001/02 Arsenal drew at home to Southampton on February 2 (as they did on Tuesday) and then went on to win every single one of their remaining league games.

As we all know, they finished that season as Premier League and FA Cup champions.

It may be fanciful to suggest they can achieve the same this season but as long as they’re in both competitions they’ve got a chance. And that run can start away to Bournemouth on Sunday lunch time.

Arsene Wenger is due out at 9am to speak to the media to talk team news and more.
You can follow it all right here.
