RANGERS have completed the signing of Scotland international goalkeeper Matt Gilks.

Gilks, who was most recently with Burnley, arrives at Ibrox on a two-year contract, Rangers announced on their official website.

The former Blackpool player, who has three Scotland caps, has been brought in to provide competition for Wes Foderingham following the departure of Cammy Bell to Dundee United.

The 34-year-old stopper has been capped three times by his country but hasn't featured since 2013.

Gilks is the seventh summer signing at Rangers after Joey Barton, Jordan Rossiter, Clint Hill, Matt Crooks, Josh Windass and Niko Kranjcar.

Kenny Miller believes his old Scotland team-mate will be a great addition to the squad.

Miller said: “I spoke to Matt a couple of years ago about our club and he just fits everything about it.”
