Liverpool are eyeing a swoop for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, according to a report.

Spanish website Sport.es claim that Liverpool and several other Premier League teams have asked about the 27-year-old.

However, it is claimed that Inter manager Roberto Mancini considers the player not for sale, though he does mention that the player is considered to be worth a little less than £30million.

The Croatian is currently starring for his country at Euro 2016, where he has scored two goals including the winner against Spain on Tuesday to help Croatia top their group.

Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has raved about Perisic’s performances in the competition.

“Croatia have been impressive partly because of the obvious people, Ivan Rakitic and Luka Modric, but Ivan Perisic has been one of the stars of the tournament for me,” Murphy told the BBC Sport website. “His power and running ability is phenomenal.”

Liverpool have been linked with Southampton’s Sadio Mane as they pursue an attacking midfielder to bring much-needed goals, while Schalke’s Leroy Sane, Fenerbache’s Nani and Lyon’s Rachid Ghezzal have also been mentioned as targets.

Manager Jurgen Klopp worked with Perisic when the pair were at Borussia Dortmund, although they did not leave on good terms after Perisic complained on international duty saying the German manager favoured other players.

The quick-thinking left winger starred in 41 encounters for Inter Milan across all competitions in the recently completed season, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists across the year.

In other Liverpool news, the Reds have rejected an £8million bid for Joe Allen.
