AfricanFootball.com can exclusively reveal that joint leading scorer of
the Nigeria league Afolabi Okiki has quit Sunshine Stars possibly to try
his luck overseas.
The goals of the powerfully built Okiki have already attracted interests from a number of clubs in Norway as we first reported.
Okiki has scored 13 goals for ‘The Akure Gunners’, same as Wikki
Tourists striker Godwin Obaje, to be leading scorer of the Nigeria
league by Week 22.
However, the former Shooting Stars striker has not been paid for several
months by Sunshine and he could now hope to move abroad as a free
agent.
Okiki is managed by controversial Argentine agent Marcelo Houseman, who
at a time handled the likes of Obinna Nsofor and Solomon Okonkwo.
