Felix Kroos, the younger brother of German international Toni, Juventus should be the ones splashing out €120m to Real Madrid in a swap deal involving Paul Pogba.
Reports in the German media have surfaced over the past few days, with Los Blancos keen to make the Frenchman their main signing of the summer and the Serie A champions are understood to have quoted a hefty fee for the 23-year-old and want Kroos in return.
The deal has been presented as Madrid paying €120m for Pogba as well as Kroos going the otherway, but the former Bayern Munich star’s younger sibling attempted to set the record straight when writing for German publication Syke as reported by Goal.
“For me he is in his position the best player in the world.
“The other day I read that Juventus Paul Pogba would only sell to Real Madrid if they would get for 120 million euros plus Toni Kroos.
“Hide? That has to be reversed. Juventus would have to pay 120 million euros and Pogba still on top place to get Toni.”
After leaving the Allianz Arena in the summer after winning the World Cup with Germany, the deep-lying playmaker made the switch to La Liga and claimed his first winner’s medal with Madrid last season thanks to victory in the Champions League final over local rivals Atletico.
He has carried his brilliant form at club level into the European Championships and was at his very best for Die Mannschaft last Sunday as they won their opening game of the tournament against Ukraine.
Kroos completed 102 passes with an 94% accuracy and registered an assist as his free-kick was headed in by Shkodran Mustafi to break the deadlock in the first-half.
