» Arsene Wenger Supports Croatia to shock Spain at Euro 2016
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has backed Croatia to spring a surprise at
Euro 2016 and reckons they could beat Spain to top Group D.
The Croats are currently in second place behind the Spaniards as the
two nations prepare to meet in their final group stage on Tuesday night.
And Wenger is convinced that some people are taking Croatia too lightly.
‘One team, above all, who nobody speaks about who has the internal quality to be a major favourite is Croatia,’ he said.Modric is one of the talents of the Croatia side (Picture: AFP/Getty Images)
‘When you look at the players available, they have [Mateo] Kovacic,
[Ivan] Rakitic, [Luka] Modric, [Dejan] Lovren, I forget so many
surnames.
‘You think looking at the names there is something there that why should they not be favourites?
‘They could be the surprising package.’
