Super Falcons- NFF looking for foreign coach for Nigeria senior women football team

The Super Falcons have been without a head coach since former boss Edwin Okon was sacked after a dismal outing at the 2015 World Cup

The Nigeria Football Federation are currently searching for a foreign coach for the Super Falcons according to the Secretary General of body.
The Super Falcons have been without a head coach since former boss Edwin Okon was sacked after a dismal outing at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada.

Christopher Danjuma who was an assistant to Okon was temporary coach but was sacked after he failed to lead the side to secure qualification for Rio Olympic ticket and finishing outside the medal zone at the 2015 All African Games.
Secretary General of the NFF, Sanusi Mohammed has revealed that the NFF are looking for foreign coach to lead the side.
Very soon, coaches will be appointed for them (Super Falcons). We will wait for them to give us their training programme,” Mohammed told Goal.
We will submit the technical committee and when the committee gets back to us, we will do the needful.
I can assure you that we are fully aware that as African champions we need to do very well and step up our game because other countries are catching up us.
We must device other right avenue will could to do better than what are doing now.”
It was reported that the NFF are in talks with Dutch tactician Hesterine de Reus to take over as coach of the team.

The Super Falcons will return to action for 2016 Africa Women Cup of Nations qualifiers; they will face Senegal or Guinea in the second round in April.
