Manchester United legend Nemanja Vidic retires from football (EMPICS Sport)Former Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic has announced his retirement from active football.
The Serbian defender recently ended his nightmare stay at Inter Milan after both parties mutually agreed for a contract termination.
Vidic joined Manchester United in January 2006 where he won five Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy.
He made just made just 28 appearances for Inter Milan last season before he left the Serie A giants.
Nemanja Vidic's contract at Inter Milan was terminated (Omnisports) It was reported that he was interested in a move to the MLS but in a statement released via the United website, Vidic said: "The time has come for me to hang up my boots. The injuries I have had in the last few years have taken their toll.
