Row Zed - Andy Murray- Andy Murray beaten by Novak Djokovic in Australian Open - British Twitter decides he's Scottish again

The online reaction to Murray's latest beating by Djokovic: entirely predictable

Andy Murray shouts "YES, I'M SCOTTISH!"

Poor old Andy Murray.

The man who won was part of the team that won the Davis Cup has now played in five Australian Open Finals… and lost every single one.

Perhaps even more painful for Murray is the fact four of those defeats have now come at the hands of Novak Djokovic. As hard as Murray fought, the 2016 final was a pretty one-sided affair, the great Serb eventually winning in straight sets (6-1, 7-5, 7-6).

So how did the people of Britain react to their No1's latest heartbreaking loss? How did they seek to console perhaps their greatest living sportsman?
With the same old, highly predictable questioning of his actual nationality…

We get it, folks. When Murray loses a big match, Britain decides he's once again Scottish.

Just a thought, but perhaps it would be nicer to appreciate the existence of Britain's greatest tennis player? Look at how upset you're making him…
