Football - Transfers Deadline day briefing: Club-by-club guide to the transfers that could go through on Monday

Ahead of the madness, we take a look at all 20 Premier League teams, some of whom will be busier than others

Movers and shakers: Could these three be on the move?
It's been a fairly quiet transfer window so far.

With the Premier League's big boys either motoring along nicely or in a state of flux, big deals have been few and far between.

Arsenal have added some midfield muscle in the shape of Mohamed Elneny, Liverpool have signed Marko Grujic, Chelsea have bagged Alexandre Pato and... well, that's about it so far.

But fear not, there are sure to be some transfers going though on Monday.

Yes, deadline day always brings with it a heavy dose of madness... be it in the Sky Sports studio, in boardrooms around the country or in living rooms, where fans will be glued to their Twitter feeds.

Ahead of the big day, then, here's a club-by-club round-up of the Premier League sides, who they've signed and sold, and what business we can expect on Monday.
See you on the other side.

ARSENAL

In so far: Mohamed Elneny (£5m)
Out so far: None

New kid: Elneny is in at the Emirates
What could happen on Deadline Day? Mathieu Debuchy's loan to Aston Villa. Yaya Sanogo and Serge Gnabry are set to come back from loans at Ajax and West Brom respectively... and then get farmed out again. Arsene Wenger is likely to confirm a £3m deal for Nigerian wonderkids Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze. Probably shouldn't bother staying up late, Arsenal fans.

ASTON VILLA

In so far: None
Out so far: Philipe Senderos (released), Tiago Ilori (loan return), Jose Angel Crespo (loan), Joe Cole (free) and Joe Bennett (loan)
Action Images via Reuters / Andrew Boyers Remi Garde
Deal or no deal: Will Garde bring in reinforcements?
What could happen on Deadline Day? Remi Garde is anxious to make his first signings as Villa boss but the bottom club have admitted they will not “cripple” themselves trying to stay up in the face of likely relegation. Targets include Bordeaux defender Lamine Sane and Arsenal full-back Debuchy.

BOURNEMOUTH

In so far: Juan Iturbe (loan), Benik Afobe (£12m), Lewis Grabban (£7m), Marius Adamonis (loan)
Out so far: Yann Kermorgant (£500k), Elliott Ward (free), Lee Tomlin (loan), Jaydon Stockley (loan)

Up and running: Benik Afobe has made a solid start
What could happen on Deadline Day? Eddie Howe has moved quickly to reinforce his injury-ravaged squad this month — and may not be finished just yet. The loss of Tyrone Mings has left the Cherries one short at left-back and their former defender Rhoys Wiggins has been linked with a return from Charlton. A midfielder could be added too, just to give Bournemouth more back-up for the rest of the season.

CHELSEA

In so far: Alexandre Pato (loan), Matt Miazga (£3.5m)
Out so far: Ramires (£25m)

What could happen on Deadline Day? Forget talk of John Stones or Antoine Greizmann — big clubs are unlikely to surrender any top players until the summer. Chelsea could muscle in late on Liverpool’s big-money move for Alex Teixeira More likely is allowing Loic Remy to leave in search of regular first-team football at one of Newcastle, Aston Villa or Leicester.

CRYSTAL PALACE

In so far: Emmanuel Adebayor (free)
Out so far: Jonny Williams (loan), Jack Hunt (undisclosed)

Still got it? Emmanuel Adebayor wants to prove himself
What could happen on Deadline Day? Signing at least one striker was a priority and Palace have bolstered their ranks by landing Emmanuel Adebayor and there might be more on Monday: Dwight Gayle is the subject of interest from Swansea and if he goes a replacement, such as Swansea's Bafetimbi Gomis, could arrive. Midfielder Mile Jedinak may also be allowed to go.

EVERTON

In so far: Matty Foulds (£500k), Shani Tarashaj (£3m).
Out so far: Shani Tarashaj (loan), Liam Walsh (loan), Steven Naismith (£7m)

What could happen on Deadline Day? Don’t hold your breath for any major outgoings, with Roberto Martinez again making it clear the likes of John Stones, Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley will not leave in this window. Instead, the manager will look to replace Naismith with Lokomotiv Moscow striker Oumar Niasse.

The Blues are trying to push a £13.5m deal through before the deadline... which will be touch and go.

Martinez would also like Dnipro forward Andrei Yarmolenko, but that won’t happen. More like is a loan out for Aidan McGeady, probably to Sheffield Wednesday rather than Sevilla. Darron Gibson could go too, with Sunderland and Aston Villa interested.

LEICESTER

In so far: Demarai Gray (£3.5m) Daniel Amartey (£5m), Daniel Iversen (£200k)
Out so far: Andrej Kramaric (loan), Jak McCourt (undisclosed), Harry Panayiotou (loan)
Plumb Images/Leicester City FC via Getty Demarai Gray warms up
One for the future: Demarai Gray is tipped to become a star
What could happen on Deadline Day? Boss Claudio Ranieri is anxious for a new striker to maintain his club’s surprise title push after letting Kramaric go to free up room on the wage bill. Loic Remy from Chelsea is likely, other targets include AC Milan starlet M’Baye Niang, Roma striker Seydou Doumbia and CSKA Moscow's Ahmed Musa.

LIVERPOOL

In so far: Marko Grujic (£5m), Kamil Grabara (£500k), Steven Caulker (loan)

REUTERS/Gleb Garanich Malmo's Erdal Rakip chases Shakhtar Donetsk's Alex Teixeira during their Champions League group A soccer match in Lviv on November 3, 2015
Big target: Teixeira is wanted by the Reds
What could happen on Deadline Day? Jurgen Klopp wants a forward and he will continue to negotiate for the Brazilian Alex Texeira, even if he knows there is little chance of persuading his club Shaktar to sell at the Reds’ valuation.

If, as is likely, it doesn’t happen, then the Reds have been exploring alternatives, and will see how far they get with the likes of former United striker Javier Hernandez, and former Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, though more likely is a loan deal for current Real player Denis Cheryshev.

There is a slight, probably remote, chance he will bring in a loan keeper, with Barca’s Marc Andre ter Stergen on the radar.

MANCHESTER CITY

In so far: Anthony Caceres (undisclosed)

Out so far: Patrick Roberts (loan), George Evans (undisclosed), Enes Unal (loan), Shay Facey (loan), Pablo Maffeo (loan), Anthony Caceres (loan)

What could happen on Deadline Day? City boss Manuel Pellegrini has already ruled out bringing anyone in, even though £54m midfield sensation Kevin De Bruyne has been ruled out for 10 weeks. Pellegrini says he is happy with the squad he has and will not buy for the sake of it.

MANCHESTER UNITED

In so far: Adnan Januzaj (loan return), Will Keane (loan return), Donald Love (loan return), Joel Pereira (loan return)

Out so far: Victor Valdes (loan), Ashley Fletcher (loan), Liam Grimshaw (undisclosed), Dean Henderson (loan), Sam Johnstone (loan), Kieran O’Hara (loan), Ben Pearson (undisclosed)

Comeback kid: Januzaj is back from Germany
What could happen on Deadline Day? United need cover in both full-back positions, as well as a striker to ease the burden on Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial.

They have several players on their radar, but are unlikely to make any significant, big-money signings on Monday, instead waiting until the summer to land their major targets.

NEWCASTLE

In so far: Jonjo Shelvey (£12m), Henri Saivet (£4.8m), Andros Townsend (£11.8m)
Out so far: Mike Williamson (undisclosed), Florian Thauvin (loan likely)

What could happen on Deadline Day? Newcastle are looking at three late deals - two strikers and a left-back. Up front, they have an interest in Loic Remy (a loan or a £10m buy), Saido Berahino (£20m cash up front) and Seydou Doumbia of Roma (loan).

Swansea frontman Bafetimbi Gomis if also a £7m option being considered. Having missed out on Guilherme Siqueira from Atletico Madrid, who’s gone to Valencia, they are still searching for cover at left-back — a return by ex-Magpies player David Santon has been mooted, or perhaps a stunning last-gasp move for PSV Eindhoven's Jetro Willems?

NORWICH

In so far: Matt Jarvis (£2.5m), Ivo Pinto (£2.2m), Ben Godfrey (undisclosed), Timm Klose (£10m), Steven Naismith (£8.5m), Patrick Bamford (loan)

Out so far: Elliott Bennett (loan), Lewis Grabban (£7m), Gary Hooper (undisclosed), Jamar Loza (loan), Harry Toffolo (loan)

Here we go: Steven Naismith netted on debut against Liverpool
What could happen on Deadline Day? It’s been a busy month for Norwich and their work now looks done. Heading into the weekend of this transfer window boss Alex Neil wanted a second striker and they have now landed Patrick Bamford on loan from Chelsea — a deal which is likely to conclude their January business.

SOUTHAMPTON

In so far: Charlie Austin (£4m)

Out so far: Gaston Ramirez (loan), Ryan Seager (loan)

Sharpshooter: Charlie Austin started well for Saints
What could happen on Deadline Day? It might be a quiet one down at St Mary’s. Ronald Koeman admitted earlier this month he wanted one player and then pulled off a coup by landing striker Austin from QPR for a bargain fee. They do have further gaps to fill, but look set to leave any further business until the summer.

STOKE

In so far: None

Out so far: Steve Sidwell (loan), Eddy Lecygne (loan)
Action Images via Reuters / Carl Recine Mark Hughes looks dejected
Sticking with what he has: Hughes has not moved in the market
What could happen on Deadline Day? It's looking likely to be a fairly calm day at the Britannia. The Potters have looked at Porto's Giannelli Imbula, but it would take a sizeable offer to get him to move on Monday.

SUNDERLAND

In so far: Wahbi Khazri (£9m), Lamine Kone (£6m), Jan Kirchhoff (£750k), Steve Harper (free), Dame N’Doye (loan)

Out so far: Ricky Alvarez (unknown), Costel Pantilimon (£3m), Seb Coates (loan), Will Buckey (loan), Danny Graham (loan)

Attacking options: Wahbi Khazri has come in from Bordeaux
What could happen on Deadline Day? Boss Sam Allardyce is in the market for one more player. That could be Arsenal full-back Mathieu Debuchy, who he has a loan interest in, or even a rekindling of a bid for Swansea forward Andre Ayew.

SWANSEA

In so far: Alberto Paloschi (£8m)
Out so far: Jonjo Shelvey (£12m), Gerhard Tremmel (loan)

Wanted: Dwight Gayle is on Swansea's wish list
What could happen on Deadline Day? There could be changes in the striking department before the window closes at 11pm. Swansea have made a £7m bid for Crystal Palace forward Dwight Gayle. Bafetimbi Gomis could go the other way, but is also wanted by Newcastle.

Having already sold Jonjo Shelvey to the Geordies this month, they are still in the market for a central midfielder, as well as a winger.

TOTTENHAM

In so far: None
Out so far: Emmanuel Adebayor (free)
Dan Mullan
Come and get me: Spurs are still keen on Berahino
What could happen on Deadline Day? Spurs made a series of failed bids for West Brom striker Saido Berahino on Deadline Day last summer and are set to do so again on Monday.

Berahino has been unable to get into the Baggies' team on a regular basis this season. West Brom don’t want him, but Spurs (and Newcastle) do.

The player himself has been caught in the middle of a battle of wills but is desperate to play regularly. It should happen, at last, in the next 24 hours.

WATFORD

In so far Costel Pantilimon (£500k), Nordin Amrabat (£6.1m), Mario Suarez (£4.5m)

Out so far Giedrius Arlauskis (loan), Connor Smith (released), Victor Ibarbo (loan)
Mark Runnacles
New face: Pantilimon is in at Watford
What could happen on Deadline Day? Quique Sanchez Flores is favourite to sign teenage Liverpool forward Jerome Sinclair in a £3m deal. If that does not happen, he may still seek cover for double-act Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney.

And if he is feeling lucky, Flores could try to tempt Chelsea to make on-loan full-back Nathan Ake’s move to Vicarage Road permanent with a £10m bid. Winger Steven Berghuis, a £4.6m misfit to date, could be farmed out on loan to a Championship club to give him more playing time and strengthen him physically.

WEST BROMWICH

In so far Sandro (loan)

Out so far Anders Lindegaard (loan), Adil Nabi (undisclosed)
Jamie McDonald
Powerhouse: Sandro will add force to the midfield
What could happen on Deadline Day? Albion owner Jeremy Peace is standing firm over Saido Berahino and refusing to sell the striker unless they get a mouthwatering £25million-plus offer. It is unlikely Spurs will dig that deep but, then again, Liverpool once paid £35m for Andy Carroll on a January Deadline Day!

WEST HAM

In so far Sam Byram (£4m)

Out so far Morgan Amalfitano (free), Mauro Zarate (free)
James Griffiths/West Ham United via Getty Sam Byram on his debut
Up and coming: Byram is one for the future
What could happen on Deadline Day? West Ham want to sign a striker before the window closes.

They have made a loan move for Fenerbahce marksman Emmanuel Emenike, who has been on loan at Dubai's Al Ain. Complications have arisen, but the Irons are confident of pushing the deal over the line. Space has been freed up for his arrival by the departure of Zarate to Fiorentina.

Should the Emenike deal break down, West Ham also have Sunderland target-man Steven Fletcher lined up. And they could move for the 28-year-old Scot anyway, with fellow striker Nikica Jelavic set to leave for Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande.
