Chelsea could make Alexis Sanchez a shock target if Jorge Sampaoli is named as the next manager at Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Express.The former Chile head coach is one of the favourites to take the post at the end of the season when Guus Hiddink's temporary spell in charge of the club comes to an end.
But a lot of Sampaoli's success with Chile has come from Sanchez - and he would like to have him alongside him should he embark on Premier League management.
Arsenal would likely demand a world record fee to depart with their main man, who returned from injury in the FA Cup win over Burnley on Saturday.

Inter Milan are desperate to offload Marcelo Brozovic, according to Corriere dello Sport.
That news will likely be welcomed by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who has consistently been linked with a move for the Croatian midfielder over the past two transfer windows.
Brozovic is actually on loan at the San Siro but is expected to sign permanently in the near future - but will reportedly only be used as a makeweight in a further deal.

Kieran Gibbs will consider leaving Arsenal if he does not get back into the Gunners' first-team, according to the Daily Star.Swansea, Newcastle and Crystal Palace are all reportedly tracking the full-back's progress after losing his regular berth in the team to Nacho Monreal.
But despite having Euro 2016 around the corner, Gibbs is believed to be happy to sit and wait for his chances before re-evaluating the situation in the summer.

The Egyptian played 90 minutes, and Wenger was impressed with his debut.
