Martin Skrtel is seemingly edging closer to a move away from Liverpool after his agent revealed that the defender has “offers from China”, although Fenerbahce are his most likely suitor.
The Slovakia international, who is currently captaining his nation at EURO 2016, has been a Reds player since 2008, in which time he’s cemented himself as favourite with many fans.
However, since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, Skrtel’s game time has been reduced dramatically, and with Joel Matip set to join the Kop side in the coming weeks on a free transfer, his chances of breaking back into the XI are slim.
There have been numerous reports suggesting a move to Turkey is the most likely scenario for the centre-back, and now football agent Mithat Halis, who works for the company that represents the player, has revealed that Fenerbahce are leading the race, but that “offers from China” are open, while Wolfsburg are keen:
“Fenerbahce have been interested for four years but there are also offers from China and Wolfsburg also want him,” he told Radyspor (via talkSPORT).
