Birmingham City are not aware of any enquiries about striker James Vaughan, the Birmingham Mail understands.

The 27-year was linked with Rangers over the weekend with The Sun claiming he is in talks about a move to the Ibrox outfit.

However, it certainly seems nothing formal has been lodged with Blues and as things stand the former Everton and Huddersfield man very much remains a Birmingham City player.

 

Vaughan joined Blues on loan from the Terriers last November before extending that loan in January when he also signed for his hometown club for the 2016-17 campaign.

However, he has been unable to secure a regular starting berth and the desire for first team football could lead him away from St Andrew's.
