Jurgen Klinsmann announced a 40-man squad on Sunday night for his preliminary Copa America roster ahead of this summer’s competition.
There were plenty of English based players in the selection.
Matt Miazga, the 20-year-old defender who recently made his Chelsea debut, was included.
Everton goalie Tim Howard and Aston Villa keeper Brad Guzan were also named in the 40, as was Sunderland’s DeAndre Yedlin.
Perhaps the most exciting name in the roster, however, was Borussia Dortmund’s 17-year-old starlet Christian Pulisic. He’s recently burst onto the scene for BVB with two goals in the Bundesliga.
