Ancelotti sanctions Bayern Munich move for Roma standout

ROMA; PALLOTTA BLINDA PJANIC, 'VOGLIO CHE RESTI QUI'

As they plot their path to the top of European football, Bayern Munich have reportedly identified Roma playmaker Miralem Pjanic as a key piece to their plans.

The German giants were eliminated in the semi-finals of the Champions League again this year, with Pep Guardiola leaving Bavaria and Carlo Ancelotti arriving as his successor this summer.

While the Italian tactician will hope to succeed where his predecessor failed, Pjanic has emerged as a primary target ahead of the summer transfer market, as reported by TZ.

It is claimed that Ancelotti has given the green light to a big-money move which will see Bayern meet the Giallorossi’s €38m release clause currently in the Bosnian midfielder’s contract.

In turn, the move would see him form a midfield trio with Arturo Vidal and Xabi Alonso next season, with the 26-year-old previously suggesting that an exit from the Stadio Olimpico is possible this summer.

Should a move materialise, it would be a bitter blow for Luciano Spalletti given that Pjanic has contributed with 11 goals and 11 assists in 39 appearances in all competitions so far this season and has continued to grow into an important figure in the squad.
