The Spaniard has opted to recall both Franck Ribery and Thomas Muller to his starting XI as Bayern Munich try to overturn a 1-0 deficit, while Diego Godin returns for Atleti
Pep Guardiola has named an attacking line-up as Bayern Munich bid to overhaul Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semi-final second leg, recalling Thomas Muller and Franck Ribery. The duo were surprisingly left out of the starting XI last week as the Bavarians fell to a 1-0 defeat at the Vicente Calderon, leaving them in need of another second-leg comeback to progress.
Both players came on a little after the hour-mark in the Spanish capital, but will be given the chance to impress from the off at the Allianz Arena, with Kingsley Coman and Thiago the players who make way.
— FC Bayern München (@FCBayern) May 3, 2016That means Douglas Costa, Robert Lewandowski, Ribery and Muller all start for Bayern, with the quartet scoring and assisting 104 goals this season in all competitions.
Diego Simeone makes just one change from the side who won the first leg, with imposing centre-back Diego Godin returning to the starting XI in place of Stefan Savic.
Antoine Griezmann once again leads the line having come off the bench to score the winning goal in the Liga victory over Rayo Vallecano.
