Manchester United
have moved closer to making Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang their key summer
signing but may have to pay up to £70million to bring the Borussia
Dortmund striker to Old Trafford and hope Real Madrid don’t pursue their
interest.
Meetings
last week have established Aubameyang as the No 1 target for the summer
and United are confident they can sign the striker as long as Real
Madrid don’t make a bid.
Real Madrid are monitoring potential centre forwards and want to sign Robert
Lewandowski from Bayern Munich but may not be able to prise him from
the Bundesliga club, meaning Aubameyang, who has scored 36 goals in 42
appearances would become an alternative.
