Klopp commissions scouting missions on potential Mignolet replacement, Liverpool remain interested in stopper

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has asked his scouts to run the rule over Cologne stopper Timmo Horn ahead of a potential summer move, according to Bild. 

Danny Ward was afforded a second start against Swansea City yesterday, though neither he nor Simon Mignolet have been wholly convincing as the club’s first-choice ‘keeper.

Despite a decent run of saves recently, the latter has come under criticism from large sections of the club’s support after a series of blunders.

By no means the finished article, the 22-year old hasn’t kept a clean sheet since March, though remains a highly rated prospect in the Bundesliga.

With the Anfield chief having an extensive knowledge of the Bundesliga, he could represent a familiar option between the posts moving forward.
