The German champions fell at the semi-final stage for the third successive year after going out on away goals to Atletico Madrid
Unhappy: Rummenigge has questioned the role of the referee in the second leg
Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rumenigge says the German side feel "cheated" after being dumped out of the Champions League by Atletico Madrid.Despite a 2-1 win for Bayern in Tuesday's second leg at the Allianz Arena, Antoine Griezmann's goal proved enough to for Diego Simeone's men to progress to the final in Milan later this month.
Xabi Alonso put Bayern level on aggregate in the first half, before Thomas Muller saw a penalty saved by Jan Oblak.
Robert Lewandowski gave Die Roten fresh hope late on, but the Spanish side held out to condemn Pep Guardiola's side to a third successive semi-final elimination.
However former Germany international Rummenigge says he believes Atletico benefited from tight decisions, reckoning Griezmann to be offside and also taking issue with the second-half penalty handed to the away side - missed by Fernando Torres.

"We feel a little bit cheated," said the Bayern chief.
"The Atletico goal was offside, the foul for the penalty [which Atletico missed] was outside of the box.
"The referee had two matches in the last seven days. I don't know whether those UEFA guys can have too many matches, too. The UEFA delegate told me: 'It's a shame what he did.'"
Bayern midfielder Arturo Vidal, a finalist with Juventus 12 months ago, believes his side were the better team - but couldn't fathom how they had failed to score more than twice across the two legs.
"I don't know why the ball did not want to go in, with so many chances created in both legs," Vidal said. "I think we were superior in both games. We controlled possession, but didn't seize it.
"They take their opportunities well, and that's why they move into the final. From here to the final they will dream with us. They faced the best team in the world."
