Hal Robson-Kanu is wanted by four Premier League clubs

Former Reading FC striker Hal Robson-Kanu leads the way in our Championship transfer rumour round-up.

The Welsh frontman is the man of the moment following his sensational strike in the 3-1 victory over Belgium at Euro 2016.

The 27-year-old was released by Royals this summer so is currently without a club.

Elsewhere, Sheffield Wednesday have signed a Scotland striker and Leeds United are said to be up against Premier League winners Leicester City for Spanish striker Samu Saiz.

Here's a round-up of Sunday's rumours doing the rounds.

Leeds United

The club are reportedly set for a transfer battle with Leicester City for Spanish striker Samu Saiz.

The 25-year-old striker has been playing with Huesca in Spain’s second tier, where he scored three goals in 29 appearances.

The Whites are eyeing a replacement for Mirco Antenucci. Also in the mix for the frontman are Spanish sides including Sporting Gijon and Las Palmas.

Saiz has a release clause of £420,000 written into his contract, meaning if any of the teams matches it, Huesca will have no option but to let their striker hold contract talks.

Reading FC

Former Reading striker Hal Robson-Kanu could be set for a move to the Premier League.

The frontman is a free agent and four Premier League clubs are believed to be interested in his services.

Robson-Kanu has turned in several impressive displays for Wales at Euro 2016 and is set to start in the semi-final against Portugal on Wednesday.

Nicky Maynard

MK Dons

The club have re-signed Nicky Maynard just a month after he was released from the club.

The 29-year-old scored eight times in 23 starts last season, but he was only on a short term deal with the club and decided to leave the team after their relegation to League 1 so he could stay in the Championship.

However, he will be returning to Stadium:MK after signing a one year contract with the club.

Maynard said: “I’m pleased to be back. I enjoyed my time here last season and I got to know the players and staff well."

Steven Fletcher

Sheffield Wednesday

Have signed former Everton defender Jordan Thorniley.

The towering young talent joins the Owls after graduating through the Goodison academy ranks to pen a first-year professional deal on Merseyside.

However, the contract expired over the summer and the 19-year-old centre back has moved over the Pennines to sign for one year at Hillsborough.

The Owls have also signed Scotland striker Steven Fletcher.

The 29-year-old had been linked with a move to Celtic and Greek side AEK Athens had shown an interest in the former Hibs man.

Fletcher was released by Sunderland last month having spent the second half of last season on loan at Marseille and has now signed a deal with the side who lost out in the Championship play-off final last season.

Florian Thauvin

Newcastle United

Serie A side Lazio are currently leading the race to sign Newcastle United’s French winger Florian Thauvin.

The Magpies want €18m in order to part with the player. Marseille have yet to make an offer for the player to the Championship side and could only afford a loan deal.

Thauvin is prioritising OM, but time is running out.

Preston North End

Anders Lindegaard has joined Preston North End after having his West Brom contract terminated by mutual consent.

Lindegaard arrived at The Hawthorns from Manchester United in August 2015 but found game time limited under Tony Pulis, making just one appearance for the club in a 3-0 League Cup defeat to Norwich City.
