West Ham face competition from Italian giants AC Milan for the signature of Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic.
According to ilsussidiario.net,
Kovacic could be lined up for a return to Milan only a year after
leaving Inter. AC Milan need to strengthen their midfield, and regain
their place as one of the top sides in Italy. The new money acquired
from the recent Chinese investment in the club may be enough to pay Real Madrid’s €30 million asking price.

The Croatian, who recently returned from International duty at Euro 2016, is looking for a way out of Real Madrid
after a season that saw limited action. He signed in the summer from
Inter for a fee of £15 million, but failed to gain as much first team
football as he would have liked.
West Ham, Liverpool and Everton are still interested in acquiring the Real Madrid midfielder however. The Premier League’s
reputation and competitiveness are very big attractions for Kovacic,
and may mean he rejects a move to Italy to play in England.
