A former Spartan point guard was arrested over the weekend, according to a report from Detroit newstation WXYZ. The report indicates that Keith Appling was arrested on Sunday while allegedly in a strip club in with a loaded gun in Dearborn.
The report indicates that the gun was "a loaded large assault rifle, similar to an AK-47."

Appling split his time last season between the NBA D-League's Eric BayHawks and the Orlando Magic on two 10-day contracts. He played in five games, averaging 1.2 points per game. After wrapping up his MSU career in 2013, Appling spent the 2014-15 season with the BayHawks and the Los Angeles D-fenders.
He averaged 19.0 points, 5.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game in 35 games with Erie this season.
He played in 142 games in his career at MSU, averaging 10.6 points and 3.3 assists per game.
